The trilogy that nobody asked for ended in a one-sided beat down, culminating in Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) stopping Dereck Chisora (33-13, 23 KOs) after ten rounds of punishment.

After two fights which were both won by Fury handily, a third bout with Chisora took place on Saturday night in the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

In Chisora’s second World title appearance in ten years, the Londoner was unable to find any openings as he slugged forward.

Fury, using his switch hitter stance was able to control the distance and forced Chisora back to the ropes multiple times, where he had great success. The right hand kept Chisora honest in his approach.

Despite Chisora’s usual aggressive assault, he was unable to land scoring punches. His signature overhand right punched fresh air for most of the fight. His attacks to the body of Fury looked good but lacked in quantity.

Fury increased his punch output at the start of round ten. Chisora had been outmanoeuvred in every department and looked incredibly slow by this point.

With nine seconds left in the tenth round, referee Victor Loughlin made the correct decision to waive off the contest.

The unified champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) was in attendance to scout his next potential opponent. Fury-Usyk is one of the most highly sought after bouts, since the Ukrainian dethroned Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).

Conversations between the two teams have already been held, although a deal and offer is yet to be made.

Do you think we see Fury-Usyk in 2023?
