I’ve been using Apple notes a lot recently, whether that’s to keep track of things in case I forget or to check things off from my daily tasks. A few weeks ago, I decided to add to my bucket list – one which sadly was lost and then recreated a year ago with a lot of additions forgotten. It left me thinking what I really wanted to do in life, whilst some choices were simple such as restaurants/pubs& bars I wanted to visit, there were also some aspirational picks in there.
I’m setting the bar high for myself since there is everything to play for. This pandemic has treated us all differently, but for me, as I keep saying – it’s been a blessing. I’ve pressed the reset button and given myself new aims and targets to achieve, and it’s refreshing to be in that position. So I’m giving myself five years to write a book, I think that’s just about achievable, yet still stupid – considering I had no idea where to start. I still don’t really, but I’m taking the steps to get there including speaking to people who have written their own books, extensive market research and working on the overall plot. I know it’s going to take time, but in five years I’ll be thirty, which doesn’t even seem that daunting any more, it’d just to be nice to achieve something of that standard by that milestone in my life.
It’s all a part of the bigger picture of 2firs, which I mention from time to time. These posts are just to keep you updated, but to also give myself something to put out there and state my intentions. I have so many ideas that I want to put into place over the coming weeks and months, and a book that I write should be a part of that. I’m sure I’ll keep you updated as I progress with this, but for now update your bucket lists and chase your own dreams.
